An overhead electrical line problem temporarily halted light rail service throughout Santa Clara County on Wednesday morning, according to the Valley Transportation Authority.Due to an overhead electrical line issue, all VTA light rail service is suspended temporarily. Bus bridges will run throughout the LR system for the next two hours. BY DEEPA BHARATH | Associated PressThe California Civil Rights Department has voluntarily dismissed its case alleging caste discrimination against two Cisco engineers, while still keeping alive its litigation against the company.The two Cisco supervisors were accused in the department’s lawsuit of discriminating and harassing an employee on the basis of caste – a division of people based on birth or descent. That case was dismissed by an order of the Santa Clara Superior County Court last week. (KRON) -- Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail service was suspended Wednesday morning due to an overhead electrical line issue at First and Younger, VTA officials reported. As of 7:36 a.m., officials reported that temporary repairs had been put in place and service is returning to normal. Crews will continue making repairs.Earlier Wednesday morning, VTA reported one train running on the orange and blue line and a bus bridge is in place throughout the light rail system. FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada is set to leave Eintracht Frankfurt when his contract expires at the end of the season, the German club said Wednesday.Kamada has been with Frankfurt since 2017 and was part of the team which won the Europa League last season, scoring in the penalty shootout against Rangers following a 1-1 draw after extra time.“We would have liked Daichi to remain at Eintracht, but that didn’t align with the player’s interests.
