35-Year-Old Pedestrian Dead, One Arrested after Vehicle Collision near Glendale AvenuePHOENIX, AZ (June 15, 2023) – Saturday night, police responded to a DUI crash that claimed the life of Ricardo Martinez.On June 10th, just before 9:45 p.m., officers were dispatched near 43rd and Glendale avenues involving a pedestrian crash.According to the Phoenix police, they arrived at the scene and found 35-year-old Martinez on top of the vehicle.Investigation showed that Martinez attempted to cross Glendale Avenue mid-block when he was struck by the vehicle headed eastbound.Consequently, Martinez was taken to the hospital with significant injuries where he was later pronounced dead.Furthermore, the driver, identified as 47-year-old Matthew Rhoades, remained at the scene and was assessed by the authorities.Rhoades was determined to be impaired at that time and he was taken into custody.Following the events, Rhoades was charged with aggravated DUI for driving impaired with a suspended dri...The Humboldt Preharvest Dep Report 2023

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- In more bad news for downtown San Francisco retail, the AT&T flagship store located at 1 Powell Street will be closing this summer, KRON4 has learned. The store, which is located near the Powell Street Cable Car turnaround, is slated to close on Aug. 1.An AT&T spokesperson cited changing consumer shopping habits as the reason for the closure. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A person of interest in connection to Friday's mass shooting in the Mission District is in custody, the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) confirmed Wednesday night. Javier Campos was taken into custody after nine people were shot near 24th Street and Treat Avenue. Local leaders speak out after Mission District mass shooting Campos had "several" outstanding warrants for his arrest from other law enforcement agencies across the Bay Area, according to SFPD. (KRON) -- Three suspects who police say were in the process of robbing a 7-Eleven store in American Canyon were arrested early Thursday morning, according to the American Canyon Police Department. Officers were on the lookout for a red Chevy Impala that had been connected to the armed robbery of a 7-Eleven in Vacaville. Descriptions of suspects connected to the vehicle were also given to ACPD.An American Canyon PD officer found the Impala parked on the side of a building and unoccupied at the 7-Eleven location on Rio Del Mar and Highway 29. Suspects who matched the descriptions could be seen inside the store. It appeared a robbery was taking place, police said. As of 3 p.m., the kayakers are being rescued at the water outside of Oracle Park.
